Allan Millet is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Reserve colonel, is the Ambrose Professor of History and Director of the Eisenhower Center for American Studies at the University of New Orleans and the Raymond E. Mason Jr. Professor Emeritus of History at The Ohio State University. Millet is the 2008 recipient of the Pritzker Military Museum & Library Literature Award for Lifetime Achievement in Military Writing.
Dr. Paul Herbert graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1972 and holds a PhD in History from The Ohio State University in addition to being a graduate of the U.S. Army War College. He is a retired colonel of the United States Army, a professor of military studies at the National War College, and an assistant professor of history at The U.S. Military Academy. He is the author of Deciding What Has to Be Done: General William Depuy, and has written several articles and has lectured on national security and military history.
Millett's previous books include Semper Fidelis: The History of the United States Marine Corps, A War To Be Won: Fighting the Second World War, For the Common Defense: The Military History of the United States of America, Their War for Korea, and The War for Korea, 1945–1950: A House Burning.
