About

Our Mission

We connect the public to military history, military affairs, and national security through exhibits, public programs, and research access that illuminate the lived experience of the Citizen Soldier, anchored by the Cold War’s impact on the world we live in today.

Located in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the Pritzker Military Museum & Library collections consist of just over 40,000 items and over 70,000 book titles. A non-governmental, non-partisan organization, the Museum & Library features diverse collections, scholarly initiatives, and programs. With national and global reach, the Museum & Library aims to share the stories of those who served, helping citizens everywhere appreciate the relationship between the armed forces and the civilians whose freedoms they protect.

Our Vision

By 2028, the Pritzker Military Museum & Library is a coherent, sustainable institution with deep local strength in Southeastern Wisconsin and national reach. Whether someone visits in person or engages through our digital channels, they experience one PMML with a clear point of view and consistent quality. We help people understand what service asks of citizens, and what the Cold War-shaped world still demands of a free society.

Our Values

Service. Accuracy. Respect. Accessibility. Stewardship. Civic responsibility.
