Toys For Tots
The Pritzker Military Museum & Library is proud to be a 2023 donation drop-off location for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program. From Wednesday, November 1st through Saturday, December 9th, the PMML invites our Chicago community to stop by the museum to drop off a new, unwrapped toy for children in need this holiday season. While we are accepting donations for children from newborn to age 13, the need for toys is especially great for children 0-3 and 10-13 years of age.
Donation Guidelines
All toys should be:
- Brand new and unopened
- Unwrapped
- Age appropriate for children from newborn through 13 years old
- Non-violent (toys that look like realistic weapons will not be distributed)
- Non-edible (no food donations of any kind)
About the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program
Toys for Tots, a 70-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each Christmas holiday season. The toys, books and other gifts collected and distributed by Marines and volunteers offer these children recognition, confidence and a positive memory for a lifetime. About the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation
The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity, is the fundraising, funding and support organization for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation was created at the behest of the U.S. Marine Corps and provides support in accordance with a Memorandum of Understanding with the Commander, Marine Forces Reserve, who directs the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. The Foundation has supported Toys for Tots since 1991 and supplemented local campaigns with tens of millions of toys valued at hundreds of millions of dollars.
