During his tour of duty in Vietnam, John Schwan fought along the Ho Chi Minh Trail, the infamous route used by the North Vietnamese to supply the Viet Cong. When he returned to the United States, he brought back these items which he had found on the Ho Chi Minh Trail. They include propaganda postage stamps, a piece of North Vietnamese uniform insignia, and a certificate written in Vietnamese.
