Now is the Time

As the Vietnam War slips further and further into the history of our nation, the need has grown ever greater to commemorate those who fought and served. Now, 50 years after the war, there is a necessity to preserve the legacy of our Vietnam veterans.

The Pritzker Military Museum & Library cannot stress enough the importance of preserving the oral history of our veterans, whether through our program or another qualified institution. We call on all Vietnam veterans to share their stories of service during this time of commemoration. Additionally, we welcome donations from any Vietnam veteran of his or her service materials and the stories that accompany them. As our nation's Vietnam vets consider their legacy, we hope that they will consider working with us to ensure that the role of the individual American soldier during this defining moment in our history will be preserved for future generations and for our society's benefit. Now is the time to act and to remember.  And, welcome home!
