Button kit for service men

This small drawstring pouch is olive drab in color, although it exhibits darker splatters where it had been stained over time. One side of the pouch has been stamped in black ink, "BUTTON KIT FOR SERVICE MEN". This kit is empty, but it likely once contained extra buttons to replace any that might have fallen off of a soldier's uniform, and sewing supplies such as thread to reattach them.
