1858 Remington revolver

Firearm is a single action, black-powder revolver with a brass frame and a steel octagonal barrel. The handle is made of wood. Stamped on the right side of the barrel are the words, "A.S.M. black powder only, Cal 44, made in Italy." Italian date code, "BC" is stamped on the underside of the frame.
