Herbert Boyd

Herbert Boyd

WWII and Korean War veteran Herbert Boyd is remembered by Bruce Boyd.

Herbert served in the Navy as a gunner during WWII and reenlisted during the Korean Conflict. Shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor, his ship entered the Harbor as his cousin's ship departed (They actually waved to each other!) His cousin was lost when his ship was sunk in battle. Herbert married and had six children. He is interred at Arlington National Cemetery with military honors.
