VICE ADMIRAL N. RONALD THUNMAN, U.S. NAVY (RET.), served a distinguished 34-year career as a submariner during the transitional period between "Rickover's Navy" and the modern U.S. Navy. As the last Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Submarine Warfare, Thunman developed many of the plans and policies that guide today’s Naval submarine warfare.
