Kevin Weddle: The Compleat Victory

The Pritzker Military Museum & Library is excited to welcome Colonel (Retired) Kevin J. Weddle, Ph.D. to discuss his new book, The Compleat Victory: Saratoga and the American Revolution.  In this book, Dr. Weddle explains in detail the Battle of Saratoga and why events unfolded as they did.  Ultimately, Dr. Weddle makes the case that British plans were undone by a combination of distance, geography, logistics, and an underestimation of American leadership and fighting ability.

We are delighted that one of our valued members of the Pritzker Military Museum & Library, Professor John W. Hall, will be joining us to host this discussion. Prof. John W. Hall is the inaugural holder of the Ambrose-Hesseltine Chair in U.S. Military History at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a past president of the Society for Military History. A specialist in early American warfare, he is also a historian and colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve.
