PMML Helps Chicago Standdown
Chicago Standdown successfully held its annual winter event on November 14, 2025, providing immediate relief and vital resources to homeless and at-risk veterans in the Chicago area. These Standdowns serve as a crucial respite from the challenges of life on the street, uniting federal agencies, local nonprofits, and community volunteers around the essential mission of stabilizing the lives of those who served. During the event, staff from the Pritzker Military Museum & Library were proudly on-site volunteering, happily engaging in our mission of serving all our nation's veterans.

During the event, attendees received a comprehensive range of high-impact services, including medical and mental health education, housing assistance programs, and employment aid. Further support was provided through direct access to veteran benefits, SNAP assistance, and the distribution of essential items like clothing and winter coats.
