PH1 (SEAL) David Tapper

32, of Atco, NJ

Petty Officer First Class (SEAL) David Tapper died August 20, 2003. Tapper was wounded when his convoy made contact with enemy forces. He was shot numerous times in the ensuing battle in Paktika Province, Afghanistan, near the Pakistan border. He was transported to Bagram Air Base Hospital where he died of his wounds. He was assigned to an East Coast based SEAL team.
