About Arik Grant:

Arik Grant has been an illustrator and a soldier, in that order, for much of his life. He had initially joined the United States Army as an active-duty Infantryman and then went on to serve in the US Army Reserve and National Guard, switching jobs to be, at different times, an Illustrator, a Tank Crewman, and later as a Combat Engineer serving Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2004 to 2005. He learned something new about himself and the world in each job, but overall, he credits his ability to put things in cartoon form that allowed him to contextualize his experiences and communicate them to the world.
