Selections from the Rare Book Room

Tracing military lineage can be complicated, as units are often absorbed, divided, or reformed with different designations. Inspired by the addition of James Dietz's painting The Crossing: The 132nd Infantry Regiment on Guadalcanal (2013) to the Museum & Library collection, this rare book and artifact exhibit examined some of the major touchstones in the history of the 132nd Infantry Regiment, tracing its history through the Civil War, both World Wars, and into today.
