CW5 Phyllis Wilson, USA (Ret.)

Phyllis Wilson served 37 years in the U.S. Army as a military intelligence officer and deployed to Iraq multiple times with the Joint Special Operations Command. Chief Warrant Officer Five Wilson was the most senior warrant officer in the Army Reserve, where she helped manage more than 200,000 personnel and an $8 billion budget.

Today, she serves as President of the Military Women’s Memorial, America’s only major memorial dedicated to honoring the 3 million women who have served.

A registered nurse with two master’s degrees, Phyllis is also a graduate of the Defense Language Institute in both German and Spanish and has jumped out of military airplanes. She is the mother of eight children, including four sons who are combat veterans.
Her life reflects extraordinary service to country, family, and the women whose stories she now helps preserve and share.
