Stories of Service: The Holt Oral History Program 2019 Highlights

In 2019, the Holt Oral History Program broadened the catalogue of interviews as well as deepened its grasp. Patriotic veterans willing to openly address issues, based on their personal experience and on their research, such as the treatment of women and of gays, came forward to speak out. We built upon the body of interviews to include more veterans from WWII, including those who fought in the Philippines, Battle of the Bulge, and D-Day. Some excerpts from those interviews could be found in our recent exhibit, D-Day +75. We also hosted the first Tour and Tea, where World War II veterans, their families, and friends, were honored at the PMML and given the opportunity to get to know others who went through similar experiences.
