Robert E. Sarazen

Robert E. Sarazen is a Vice President of Goldman Sachs and a member of the Firm’s Leadership Council in the Investment Management Division. He joined Goldman Sachs in 1996. Previously, Rob practiced law for five years, concentrating in securities litigation. Rob earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law School, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University and attended the London School of Economics.

Rob was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army, Infantry, in 1988 after spending four years in the Reserve Officers’ Training Program at Boston University. Upon graduation from law school, the U.S. Army transferred Rob to the Judge Advocate General’s Corps where he was stationed at Fort Huachuca, AZ serving with the 111th Military Intelligence Brigade as part of the United States Army Intelligence Center of Excellence. Rob subsequently joined the Army Reserve, ultimately attaining the rank of Captain. He was honorably discharged in 1998.

Rob also serves on the Board of Directors of Chicago Lurie Children’s Hospital Foundation. He lives in Lincoln Park with his wife Raeanne and three children, Aidan, Michael and Elaine.
